A few Q/A's
What Is it?
The Fabricators File Exchange (FFE) is a place for fabricators to share designs and files they have created. If you drew something in CAD or some other application and think others might find it usefull. Simply sign up for and activate your account and click the Upload button and follow the instructions.
What to share?
Stuff you think others might find useful that pertains to fabrication and stuff you drew/created.
What not to share?
Anything that doesn't pertain to fabrication or is protected by copyright or patent law.
Stuff you didn't draw/create
.
Why is FFE here?
To help fabricators. Normally each fab shop is regional and don't compete with each other so why not save each other some R&D $ and share your drawings etc. That way you can stay busy melting metal which is what really pays the bills and keeps your customers happy.
What does it cost?
Nothing for you. Just don't be a leech and take and never give back, share your work with others.
How do I download?
You must first upload... We had to many people leeching and not enough people giving.
Accounts are now manually added to the download group. If you want to download then you must first upload something and notify the admin.
You must upload atleast 1 file every 3 months or your priveledge to download is removed.
If you don't attach a thumbnail then you will only recieve 1 week of download privilege. (Don't be lazy, because we have to make the thumbnails manually.)
